Proteus Labs is compatible with Meta Quest 2, 3, 3s and Pro; Pico Neo 3, 4 and 4 Ultra; and Pico G2 and G3.
Yes. All experiences work with both hand tracking and controllers. Optimal hand tracking requires good lighting, contrasting backgrounds and slightly slower movements.
On Meta Quest 3, 3s, Pro and Pico 4 & 4 Ultra, augmented reality is displayed in colour; on Meta Quest 2 and Pico Neo 3 it is in black and white.
Results are sent in Microsoft Excel format (.xlsx).

This usually means the manipulation in the protocol wasn’t completed accurately. For example, if a step asks to fill half of a 500 mL beaker and the student adds only 100 mL (or overfills it), the check mark won’t appear. Simply repeat the manipulation accurately and the check mark will appear.
When you enter a lab, a virtual table appears in front of you. Grab the blue sphere just in front of the table to reposition the environment at the height and location that suits you. The sphere disappears after a few seconds; make it reappear at any time by clicking the right controller’s joystick.

Yes. In the virtual tablet, open the “Options” section and click “Send Results”. Enter the recipient’s email and confirm with the green check mark. They’ll receive an email titled “Your Results Proteus Labs” with an XLSX file containing the protocol, the log of steps carried out, the guide, a summary of results and any pictures taken in the lab.
For now Proteus Labs is a single-player application. A multiplayer version enabling several students to interact live in the same lab is coming in the following months.
Yes. Although each lab has a specific protocol tied to its objectives, students can freely use the available tools and substances to explore beyond the protocol.
To grab small objects or place an object precisely, align the small green sphere on the lower third of the middle finger of each hand with the object. When it touches the object, the object highlights green; press the button at the base of the controller to grasp and manipulate it precisely.
If you drop an object it automatically reappears on the table, so you never need to bend down to pick it up.
Your subscription gives you access to all labs. As new labs are released in future updates, you’ll have access to those too.
Yes. The app is available in multiple languages, selectable from the home page. Your selection stays until you change it.
No. We do not collect personal information.
Updates require an internet connection to install. Once installed, the app can be used offline in single-person mode.
